I'm not sure if you've seen this by now or not, but it's potentially devastating news for security pretty much everywhere if it turns out that SHA-1 has serious vulnerabilities.
Yeah, I know it's not done for yet - hence the question mark in the title and the words "potentially" and "if" in the post. I for one will continue to use SSL to do my online banking, for example. I hope I wasn't unintentionally fear-mongering. :)
